The paflage from chapter exxx. according to Sauvage, may alfo ferve for the conclufion, m which Froiflart relates the circumftanccs under* which the blind king of Bohemia, John foir of the emperor Henry VII. and firther to the fucceeding emperor Charles IV. was killed at the battle of Crecy 1346. The blunder in Froiflart's text, in which his name John is interchanged with Charles, Sauvage has noted in the margin.
