The 2d "November 1728, the'very ufefùl hiftorical, but principally-genealogical, library, of John Godfrey von Riemer und RIemberg, count of the empire, Promnitz-Pleflifh counfellor and deputy to the public afiembiies, together with feveral manufcripts regarding, the Silefian Hiftory, were prefented, which all ftand apart. The lGthOétober 1733, the Seel, baron von Wolf fent over 15 volumes, of his works neatly bound,—and this donation he forwarded from Marpurgv That nothing elfe followed from Halle was not his fault. * The 24th March 1735, the principal theological books of the infpe&or George Teubner, among them the London Polyglot, Bibliotheca Patrum,. Concilia, Baronius, good editions of the. fathers of the church, and the like. 1736, our library was to have been augmented with fomething from Adam Ebertus, profeflbr of fpecial law at Frankfort on the Oder, which,. however, was not done. -• The more immediate notice of this deferves to be» ©ccafionallybrought into converfatton.- In the year 1748 it received, in intrinfic value and exterior beauty, a very important augmentation, from the library of the baron Hiidebrand* Rudolph von Hund. auf Wirbit^ which he had exprcflly colleéted for fupplying ours; Among thefe books were the Thefauri Antiqu. of Graevius* Gronovius,. Sallengré,. the Theatr. Europ. Gfaevii Antiquitates Italian, Lambecii Comment, the firft edition of Khevenhuler, Liinig's works, the Merianifb Defcription of Places* the Blaeuifh Atlas, feveral accounts of Voyages, Kohler's works, Lochner's Diverting Medallift,. maps, fome volumes of excellent prints, feveral accounts of Travels* Memoirs, &c. the moft in french bindings.. The 10th September 1750, one-half of the feleéted library of. Michael Gottlieb von Liebenau, an eminent prefident of the council and of fchools,. were prefented ,moftly new french anditalian works, which he had purchafed on his travels r amongft them Thuanus, Frenchr 16 volumes, Giomale de Letterati, the works of Bonanni, and others.
