as well as from Haînault : ampng the laH were the lord de Lînge * and the lord de Havreth* Several knights came from Flanders ; and the duke of Lancafter had à baftard-fon, called Henry de Beaufort, whom, through devotion, he fent thither. He had him well accompanied by many knights and fquires of rank in England. The count de îoix was unwilling his baftard-fon, Evan of Foix, fhould remain behind, and had him properly attended by knights and fquires, as he wilhed him to keep his ftate grandly.
