You may fuppofe that the duke was na way ignorant of what they were about, but he gave not any interruption to their building the bridge, until it was nearly completed. At the council I mentioned, the lord de Bourne was folicited by the minifters of the du-chefs of Brabant, and by the knights and fquires to open his town of Raveftein for them to gain an entrance into Gueldreland,

It belongs to the elector Palatifce; but the Dutch have a right to put a garrifon there.
