entertained them well, but faid it would be diffi-cult to exchange fuch hatred for peace, and to eftablifti it with one whom they wanted to disin-herit, and that it was not his intention to relie-quifh his claim to the crown of Caftille. The friar and bifhop replied, f that there was one means of reconciling his right and the right of their lord and king; and, my lord, we have found it.'
