It was an infamous act thu§ to affaffinate the valiant king of Cyprus., whofe thoughts were fotely occupied, day and night, on the means of conquering the holy land, and driving out of it the infidels. '
Philip de Meleres,f being chancellor to this king of Cyprus, had engraved on a monument he erected to him,J i& the chapter-houfe of the Ceieftins aft Paris, as follows :
