Item,—if any abufive language fhall be ut-tered, and come to the ears of any of our civil officers, againft this our order, we will that the perfon uttering fuch be punifhed by arbitrary £ne, fo as to ferve for an example to others, by the legal judges of fuch places before whom he or they fhall have been brought, faving the franchifes and privileges of thofe places. Item,—if any churchman be guilty of any acts againft thç faid pe?ce, let him be tranf-ferred to his ordinary, to be punished as an in-fringer of the pe%ce| according as the cafe may require. .
