THE duke of Burgundy, being convinced that things would end badly if the king of France with an army did not provide à remedy, exerted himfelf for a parliament to be holdenat Compiegne of all the great barons and princes of the realm of France.
To this parliament all who were ftirtimoned came, and the duke of Brittany perfonally at* tended. It was there difcùfled, whether or not the king of France, with his uncles the dukes ' of Berry, Burgundy and Bourbon fhould march ' to Flanders with a ' greater force than he had commanded at Rofebècque, to raife the fiege of Ypres, and offer combat to the Englifh: and Fleming if they ihould think proper to wait for him, '
