Although there was peace in Flanders, the earl had confiant fufpicions of Ghent ; for every day fome tales were brought him refpefting it : and fi-jmilar qnes were told of him to the townfmen of Ghent. 7!
' John de Faucille went to refide at Nazareth, a very handfome and ftrong houfe of his a good league diftant from Ghent.
