SIR THOMAS TRIVET WITH THE ENGLISH CPME TO THE SUCCOUR OF THE KINO OF NAVARRE.— THE SIEGE OF PAMPELUNA IS RAISED.
npHE king of Navarre, who réfided at St. Jean
x du Pied des Ports, was exceedingly angry that the Englifh were fo long coming, for his country was in great danger.; and the city of Pampeluna would have been taken by the Spa-niards, had it not been for the vifcount de CKaf-tillon, the governor, who had under him % all but two hundred Gafcon fpears, but his prudence and watchfulnçfs prevented it.
Sir Perducas d'Alb'ret was governor ~ of ' the town of Tudela in Navarre ; the count P.ullciis and his brother Roger commanded in* the city of Mi-randa: a knight from Catalonia, called fir Ray-mond de Bageth, was governor of another ftrong town in Navarre, named Arques*.
