tè keep fuch oaths or conventions ; and if, in fafl, any one attempted to a& contrary, they fhajl from thi? moment be broken and annulled, and of no •eight: neverthelefs we fhall punifh fuch by cor-poral punifhment and confifcations, as violators of the peace, if the cafe fhould require it, or it fhould appear reafonable : and if we fhould encourage or ilffer. any thing to be done hurtful to the peace (which GoJ forbid), we are willing to be counted m liars and difloyal, and aifo to fuffer in this cafe foch blame and difrepute, as a facred king ought to undergo for fuch condu& : and we fwear upon the body of JESUS CHRIST to conclude, maintain and keep the aforefaid treaty, and neither by ourfelves mpr others to depart from it for any caufe or reafon frjbatfçever.
