When the feafon was fufficiently advanced, and every thing was ready for the prince's departure, he fent for the great barons of Gafcony, the lord d'Albret firft, and the lords de Mucident, de l'Ef-parrel dfc Longueren, de Pumiers, de Courton, de Rofem, de Chaumont, de Montferrant, de Lan-duras, fir Àymery de Tarfe, the captai de Bucb, the fouldich de la Trane, and many others. He received them with every fign of affection and friendfhip, and promifed them great rewards and . profits, 366
