formed : there were with the Poitevins feveral of the free companies, who were unwilling to remain during the fiege ; fuch as John Crefwell and David Hollegrave : thefe two, with fir Walter Hewett, were their leaders. 1 • Sir Peter de Guerfille* and Jourdain de Cou-longne, who were in the caftle, defended it valiant-ly, and advanced every day to the combat with the Englifh at their barriers.
